Captain's Tower Reading, Bikeshed Theatre, Exeter Poetry Festival 9th October

Another nerve-wracking performance, this-time in a theatre tiered like a lecture hall, entered through a pub. Anne Gray, David Wooley, Damian Furniss, Tony Watts and Chris Banks in attendance.

This reading has really developed since I first saw it at the Troubadour, and it was good to listen to.

I played 'Boots of Spanish Leather' instead of 'Song to Woody,' 'Fourth Time Around,' 'Tangled Up in Blue,' 'Moonshiner,' 'Crazy Love' and 'Po' Boy,' messing up the last song in my premature relief to have finished the set.

For once I read my poem 'Two Stories,' well.

Next stop Bridport, 20th November.
